Moonshadow

Glenbogle is an enormous estate in the Scotiish Highlands. It's so enormous that it encompases whole villages. It even has its' own castle. There are a large and varied mix of castle residents. These consist of the family who own the estate, various employees, visitors, and hangers on. Archie the eldest son, has inherited the estate from his fathter, and is the Laird, owner of all he surveys. And what a vista! In good Feng Shui fashion, there is a gigantic water feature (also known as a lake) in the castle frontange, and mountain behind.

In the interests of positively rebuilding the fauna from decades of over fishing and hunting parties, Archie has established a wolf park. This is where Moonshadow lives, having arrived from a zoo on the continent. She was transported in a large wooden crate, which was deposited just inside the enclosure. The crate door was opened, and she was left to her own instincts. She didn't emerge at all for many hours. The leader of the wolf pack was given her scent, in order to become accustomed to her presence. In this way she had a higher chance of being accepted by the pack, and not seen as a hostile intruder.
